Tahini-free Hummus

Here is a healthy and delicious tahini-free hummus recipe to not only the delight your palate, but the palate of all your friends! It is tahini-free for those who are avoiding fats for health reasons. Hummus is traditionally known to be made with tahini, a sesame seed paste, but here’s another ways to make a delicious hummus to go with your favorite snack. There are many ways you can stay healthy and still have a good time at a great party!

 

Ingredients:

1 25 ounce can organic garbanzo beans
2 tablespoons organic extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon Bragg’s organic apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon organic cumin
1/4 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
1/4 teaspoon organic ground white pepper
1 garlic clove
1/2 cup of filtered water
A couple sprigs of cilantro

Directions:

Place all ingredients, except a handful of garbanzo beans, and a sprig of cilantro, into a blender or food processor. Blend until creamy, add more water if texture is too thick. Place in a serving bowl. Hand mix in remaining garbanzo beans, placing a couple beans on top for garnish. Lightly sprinkle cumin on top, and garnish with remaining cilantro sprig. Serve with your favorite healthy cracker, sliced carrots, cucumbers, celery, or spread it on a sandwich or wrap and enjoy!
